The following instructions are for installing drivers and configuring the NIC in
Windows NT.

PCI computers automatically detect and configure PCI-compliant NICs while
booting. The NIC IRQ level and I/O addresses are automatically set by the
BIOS each time you start your computer.
Start your computer to automatically configure the NIC. Configuration is
complete when Windows NT starts or the DOS prompt appears.
If your computer displays an error while booting, it may require additional steps
to configure. See the section ?PCI Installation Tips? for more information.

After putting the NIC in the computer, connecting the cables, and starting
Windows NT, you need to install the correct drivers.
1. Double-click on the Network icon in the Control Panel.
2. Click the Adapters tab.
3. ClickAd d. You?ll see a list of NICs.
4. Don?t select a NIC from. Instead, this list inseCompaq Srt the oftware
and Documentation CD into your CD drive and click Have Disk.
