This manual is for both the EU and Australian version of the CCD-TR55(E) Camcorder, as stated it includes both the users manual and the service manual. The quality of the manual is very good but it is only black and white (not full colour) and ultimately it is just a scan, so 4/5 from me.

I downloaded this product and looked through it quickly with Adobe Reader v9. It is clean and a good copy. Some scanned pages are not perfectly square, but that is a minor complaint. The document schematics and board diagrams are easy to read, of good contrast. The whole file downloaded quickly. This is a good service! Sony charges about $100 for the printed version of the same manual. It is still available through their print-on-demand pro parts system, but why would you do that?

TV Channel Setting (Advanced)
To repeat the AUTO INSTALLATIONMAIN Menu
In this mode you can to do again the AUTO INSTALLATION (e.g.;OTHER
after moving house).FUNCTIONS
This function frees you of troublesome channel presetting procedu-INSTALL
res. Simply follow the instructions below to automatically store all on-AND TUNE
air and cable real channels into the programme channel memories.

1. Press the MENU button to see the MAIN Menu.

4. Press the Cursor UP button E to select Ã�AUTO-TUNEE (blue
box).

The Ã�AUTO INSTALLATIONE menu will appear on your TV

The TV is ready to preset automatically all local channels for you.
If the TV is being used with a VCR, turn on the VCR and play back
a pre-recorded tape. The signal from the RF terminal of your VCRVeVCRDEO
is assigned to a TV channel.
6. Now, press any button on the TV remote control to start Auto
Channel Preset.
The TV will go through the following steps automatically and
sequentially:
Automatic Channel Sorting System (ACSS): The TV setSearching
SEARCHES FOR FREQUENCIES, memorises the channels
found, and sorts them (according to technical criteria) from Pr-01Pr 01
of the TV, to a maximum of 99 programmes.
Note:This tuning process may take several minutes to perform.

Ã�Stored programmesE menu will appears on the screen.
If you wish to rename the channels or change the order, go on to
the section entitled -Stored programmes- (page 12).
