5. Friction Pad Pressure Adjustment
NOTE: This adjustment is required when multifeeds or misfeeds occur with the
customer?s brand of paper.
If replacement of the feed roller and the friction pad does not solve the
problem, do the following adjustment.
1. Remove the cassette.
2. Turn the eccentric cam [A] to adjust the
friction pad pressure as shown in figures 1
and 2.
NOTE: If the eccentric cam groove is[A]
aligned vertically, the gap between
the feed roller and the friction pad
(fig. 1)
will become narrower or wider as
shown in figure 3.
?When multifeed occurs, make
the gap narrower.
?When misfeed occurs, make theNarrow Normal Wide
gap wider.(fig. 2)
