You can use the Loewe alphaTel 4000 L / 5000 L charging station as a remote
charging unit for the handsets of the Loewe alphaTel 4000 / 5000 series. This
enhances mobility within the house and leaves you complete flexibility in terms of
where to site your telephone.

Using the charging station for the first
time
You can get the unit ready for use quickly and easily. However, we would like to
draw your attention to the following general points:
Please also read the operating instructions in the user guide of the telephone
you are using.
There must be a 230V mains outlet where you want to install the unit.
The range of cordless telephones is heavily dependent on where you install the
base station and the layout of the building. If you want to be able to make calls
outside, you should install the base station near a window. Reflections from
neighbouring building can sometimes improve the range.
If there is a mains failure or the power supply unit is unplugged, the charging
station will not work.
Only use the power supply unit supplied.
You should not use the charging station in the immediate vicinity of electrical
equipment (e.g. medical equipment, telephones, televisions, energy saving light
bulbs) or metal objects.
Do not use the charging station in rooms where there is a risk of explosion
(e.g. paint shops).
Make sure your charging station is not exposed to direct sunlight or other
sources of heat. The unit is designed for normal room temperatures.
Please note that the very wide range of paints and varnishes used on furniture
means there is a small risk that the charging station may leave a mark where it
is installed. Loewe Telecom cannot accept liability for any damage of this kind.
Try to install the charging station on an even surface.
