I downloaded this product and looked through it quickly with Adobe Reader v9. It is clean and a good copy. Some scanned pages are not perfectly square, but that is a minor complaint. The document schematics and board diagrams are easy to read, of good contrast. The whole file downloaded quickly. This is a good service! Sony charges about $100 for the printed version of the same manual. It is still available through their print-on-demand pro parts system, but why would you do that?

General explanation
DVD 701DVD/VIDEO CD/CD PLAYER
POWER ON/OFF
Switching ON
1Switch on the TV and select the video input for your DVD-Video player.
2Press POWER ON/OFFbutton.
Remote control operation
- Unless otherwise stated, all operations can be carried out with the
remote control.Always point the remote control directly at the player,
making sure there are no obstructions in the path of the infrared
beam.
When there are corresponding keys on the front panel of the player,
they can also be used.
Loading a disc
1Press Open/Close on the front of the player.The disc loading tray opens.

3D-SOUND2Lay your chosen disc in the tray,label side up.Make sure it is sitting
PLAY
properly in the correct recess.
OPEN/ CLOSEPAUSESTOP
3 Press Open/Close, to close the tray.
