WORLD TIMETo set the clock to the local time. Turn the SEL/ CAMERA
PUSH EXEC dial to set a time difference. The
clock changes by the time difference you set
here. If you set the time difference to 0, the
clock returns to the originally set time.
BEEPr MELODYTo output the melody when you start/stop VTR
recording or when an unusual condition occurs CAMERA
on your camcorder
NORMALTo output the beep sound instead of the
melody
OFFTo cancel the melody and beep sound
COMMANDERr ONTo activate the Remote Commander supplied VTR
with your camcorder CAMERA
OFFTo deactivate the Remote Commander to avoid
remote control misoperation caused by other
VCROs remote control
DISPLAYr LCDTo show the display on the LCD screen and VTR
viewfinder CAMERA
V-OUT/LCDTo show the display on the TV screen, LCD
screen and viewfinder
REC LAMPr ONTo light up the camera recording lamp at the CAMERA
front of your camcorder
OFFTo turn the camera recording lamp off so that
the subject is not aware of the recording
INDICATORr BL OFFTo turn off the backlight on display window VTR
BL ONTo turn on the backlight CAMERA
Note
If you press DISPLAY with ODISPLAY� set to OV-OUT/LCD� in the MENU settings,
the picture from a TV or VCR will not appear on the LCD screen even when your
camcorder is connected to outputs on the TV or VCR.
Notes on INDICATOR
YWhen you select OBL ON�, battery life is reduced by about 10 percent during
recording.
YWhen you use power sources other than the battery pack, OBL ON� is automatically
selected.
