I downloaded this product and looked through it quickly with Adobe Reader v9. It is clean and a good copy. Some scanned pages are not perfectly square, but that is a minor complaint. The document schematics and board diagrams are easy to read, of good contrast. The whole file downloaded quickly. This is a good service! Sony charges about $100 for the printed version of the same manual. It is still available through their print-on-demand pro parts system, but why would you do that?

SOMETHING NOT WORKING
PROBLEMSOLUTION

The machine does not start up:Check that the door is firmly closed.
nCheck that the machine is plugged in and thatENGLISH
there is power at the socket.
nCheck that the main fuse has not blown.
nCheck that the programme selector dial is
positioned correctly and that the on/off button
has been depressed.

The machine does not fill:Check that the water tap is open.
nCheck that water is coming out of the tap.
nCheck that the inlet hose is not squashed or
kinked.
nCheck that the filter in the inlet hose is not
blocked.
nCheck that the door is closed.
n
The machine fills then emptiesThe end of the drain hose is too low. Refer to
relevant paragraph in Owater drainageÃ� section.

The machine does not emptyCheck that the drain hose is not squashed or
kinked.
and/or does not spin:
nThe drain filter is blocked. Clean it.
nThe anticrease or no spin option has been
selected.
nThe wash load is unbalanced.
Redistribute the clothes inside the drum to
allow the machine to spin.
n
The machine vibrates or is noisy:Check that all the transit bolts and packing
have been removed.
nCheck that the machine is not resting against
anything.
nCheck that the support feet are resting firmly
on the ground.
nCheck that the laundry is evenly distributed in
the drum.
nMaybe there is very little laundry in the drum.
