HOW TO USE THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT
Theç star freezer compartment may be
used to store frozen products for the time
indicated on the packaging and to freeze
fresh food by placing it on the shelf in the
top of the freezer. Frozen products should
instead be stored in the bottom of the
freezer compartment to prevent contact
with food still to be frozen.
The rating plate shows the quantity of fresh
food that can be frozen in 24 hours.
Important
Wrap and seal fresh food in:
xAluminiumfoil,clingfilm,airandwaterîtight
plastic bags, polythene containers with lids or
special freezer containers.
xThefreezercompartmentisabletomaintain
correct storage temperatures even in the case
of power failure. If this is the case, do not
open the freezer door until power is restored.

Refer to the adjacent table for fresh food

When you purchase frozen food, make
sure:
xThepackagingisundamaged�frozenfoodin
damaged packaging may have deterioratedO.
If the package bulges or is marked by liquid
stains, the product has not been correctly
stored and may have partially thawed.
xWhenshopping,leavefrozenfoodpurchases
until last and transport items in insulated bags.
xPlaceitemsinthefreezerassoonasyouget
home.
xIffoodhaspartiallythawed,donotrefreeze.
Consume within 24 hours.
xAvoidsubjectingfrozenfoodstotemperature
variations. Observe the oBest before dateó on
the packaging.
xAlwaysobservethestorageinformationon
packages.
Making ice cubes
xFilltheicecubetraythreequartersfullwith
water and place in the bottom of the freezer
compartment.
If the ice cube tray sticks to the bottom of the
compartment do not use pointed or sharp
instruments to detach them.
