4. Error Rate Check (PIT disk)
Y Test point: Check the test point on the display.

Y Test disk: TSYS-1 or equivalent Checking procedure
1) Insert the TGYS-1.

2) Move the pickup to the center of the disk using the B.SKIPT-BASS
button and F.SKIP button.POP
3) Press the MD MODE button to display OSEL PIT�.
4) Press the PLAY button to display OFCS ON!�.
5) Press the ENTER button to display OSV ON�. Press the
DISPLAY button once to confirm that the address
indication is stable. (Refer to Fig-4)
6) Press the DISPLAY button once again to display theFig-4. Address indication
playback error rate. (Refer to Fig-5.) Confirm that the
numbers of O##: ****� (underlined portion) is O0030� or
lower.
7) After check, press the STOP button to return the display to
OSV OFF�.

5. Record/Playback Error Rate Check (MO disk)

Y Checking procedure
1) Insert the MDW-74.

3) Press the JOG MODE button. Recording startsT-BASS

automatically in cluster 600.
4) After recording for about 15 seconds, press the STOP
MONO
button.
5) Press the ECO/DEMO button. OSV ON� is displayed from
around cluster 600 onward (the display is in the sate of the
address indication) and press the DISPLAY button in or
after cluster 600. (Refer to Fig-6.)Fig-6. Address indication
Then confirm that the values of O##: ****� (underlined
portion) is O0030� or lower.
6) After adjustment, press the STOP button to return the
display to OSV OFF�.
6. Checking the No Adjust
1) Press the POWER button to turn off the power.
2) Press the POWER button again to turn on the power.
3) Confirm that ONo Adjust� is not displayed.
* If ONo Adjust� is displayed, perform all the adjustments of
1 to 3.
