Talk about a lifesaver!!!!!!!!!!!! This schematic will also work for the Radio Shack DX-392. This is the full blown service manual complete with alignment instructions, schematics, and parts lists.

This manual is for both the EU and Australian version of the CCD-TR55(E) Camcorder, as stated it includes both the users manual and the service manual. The quality of the manual is very good but it is only black and white (not full colour) and ultimately it is just a scan, so 4/5 from me.

List of items that can be displayed and selected by disc
type
When you press DVD DISPLAY, the following control menu items are displayed.
Control Menu itemsFunction
DISCDisplays the disc name or disc type inserted into the system.
Selects the disc to be played.
TITLE (DVD only)Selects the title (DVD), the scene (VIDEO CD in PBC Playback),
SCENE (VIDEO CD in PBC the track (VIDEO CD) to be played.

TRACK (VIDEO CD)
CHAPTER (DVD only)Selects the chapter (DVD) or the index (VIDEO CD) to be played.
INDEX (VIDEO CD only)
ALBUM (MP3 only)Selects the album (MP3) to be played.
TRACK (CD or MP3 only)Selects the track (CD or MP3) to be played.
INDEX (CD only)Displays the index and selects the index (CD) to be played.
TIMEChecks the elapsed time and the remaining playback time.
Inputs the time code for picture and music searching.
AUDIO (DVD only)Changes the audio setting.
SUBTITLE (DVD only)Displays the subtitles.
Changes the subtitle language.
ALBUM (JPEG only)Selects the album (JPEG) to be played.
FILE (JPEG only)Selects the file (JPEG) to be played.
DATE (JPEG only)Displays the date information.
ANGLE (DVD only)Changes the angle.
PLAY MODE (VIDEO CD/Selects the play mode (Normal Play/Shuffle Play/Program Play)
CD/MP3/JPEG* only)for the disc.
REPEATPlays the entire disc (all titles/all tracks/all files), one title/chapter/
album/track or contents of program repeatedly.
CUSTOM PARENTAL Sets the disc to prohibit playback.
CONTROL
*For JPEG files, Normal Play mode only is available.
Tips
Each time you press DVD DISPLAY, the Control Menu display changes cyclically as follows:
Control Menu display Cy ontrol Menu display off
The Control Menu items differ depending on the disc.
The Control Menu icon indicator lights up in green when you select any item except ?OFF? (?REPEAT? only).
The ?ANGLE? indicator lights up in green only when multiple angles are recorded on the disc.
