Talk about a lifesaver!!!!!!!!!!!! This schematic will also work for the Radio Shack DX-392. This is the full blown service manual complete with alignment instructions, schematics, and parts lists.

I downloaded this product and looked through it quickly with Adobe Reader v9. It is clean and a good copy. Some scanned pages are not perfectly square, but that is a minor complaint. The document schematics and board diagrams are easy to read, of good contrast. The whole file downloaded quickly. This is a good service! Sony charges about $100 for the printed version of the same manual. It is still available through their print-on-demand pro parts system, but why would you do that?

1-7. Replacement of CRT6. Remove the three screws and remove the CRT from
the VF tube assembly.
1. Loosen the screw of the MIC clamp and open the MIC7. Remove the CRT tube from the CRT.

2. Remove the two screws (K2.6 x 5).
3. Remove the three hexagonal socket bolts and remove
the upper chassis.

8. Remove the four screws and remove the mask spacer.
9. Disconnect the connectors CN21 on LP-84 board and
CN31 on LP-85 board.

4. Disconnect the flexible card wire CN11 on the VR-119

5. Disconnect the three connectors CN2, CN4 and CN5
on the VF-60 board, and anode cable.

10. Install a new CRT in the reverse procedures of remov-
al.
11. Referring to Section 2 OElectrical AlignmentÃ�, be sure
to perform the adjustments.

When installing the upper chassis, take care not to
clamp the harness between upper and lower chassis.
