For details of playback and cuing, see the section OPlayback
(page 3-10).
Notes
Y In full edit/simple edit mode, recording occurs in blank sections
of the hard disk. When the available space is exhausted, no
further recording is possible.
Y For quad speed dubbing from tape to disk in loop recording
mode, the recording start point is always the start of the empty
space on the disk. If there are events on the disk that you do not
want to be overwritten, overwrite protect them in advance.
Y In loop recording mode, after carrying out the operations below,
the recording start point may become undefined. It is best either
to write-protect events you do not wish to have overwritten, or to
set the recording start point with the procedure described under
ORecording start point above.

N Overwrite protecting an event
Note about recording in loop recording mode
If loop recording mode has been selected by choosing Edit Mode
from the REC Control item of the Environment Settings menu,
recording continues even past the capacity of the hard disk by
overwriting the previous contents of the hard disk. If there are
events on the disk that you do not want to be overwritten,
overwrite protect them in advance.
For more information about overwriting, see OProtecting Events
From Being Overwritten (page 3-68).
