I downloaded this product and looked through it quickly with Adobe Reader v9. It is clean and a good copy. Some scanned pages are not perfectly square, but that is a minor complaint. The document schematics and board diagrams are easy to read, of good contrast. The whole file downloaded quickly. This is a good service! Sony charges about $100 for the printed version of the same manual. It is still available through their print-on-demand pro parts system, but why would you do that?

This manual is for both the EU and Australian version of the CCD-TR55(E) Camcorder, as stated it includes both the users manual and the service manual. The quality of the manual is very good but it is only black and white (not full colour) and ultimately it is just a scan, so 4/5 from me.

Very fast service, manual is well scanned and clear, but the Appendix A containing PC Command table and Control codes are missing

TEST MODE
FLUORESCENT DISPLAY TUBE FULL ON ANDÄ� SERVO board (Conductor Side) Ä�
KEY CHECK MODE
Procedure:
1. Connect TP(AFJ) and GND on the SERVO board with a lead
wire.
2. Press! button to turn the power ON.TP

3. The fluorescent display tube will fully turn on.(AFJ)
4. Pressing any button causes the set to enter the Key Check mode.IC204
In the Key Check mode, each time a button is pressed, nu-
meric value displayed on the tube is counted up. (However,
CN101
once the button is pressed, the value is not counted up even if
pressing the same button again.) Also, while a button is pressed,
its button number is displayed.
5. To exit from the Test mode, press! button to turn the power
OFF.
