PRECAUTIONS
nn Installation environment
Do not block ventilation holes.
Do not put the monitor on carpet or blanket, or other materials which could block the ventilation holes.
Do not put the monitor in the following places.
? Near heat sources or exposed to the direct sunshine.
? Positions subject to excessive heat changes
? Dirty or high humidity atmospheres
? Positions with poor ventilation
? Positions where the product or power cord could be knocked over or pulled
? Positions subject to vibration
? Unstable surfaces or positions with insufficient strength to hold the weight of the product.
nn Viewing the monitor
1. Ensure adequate lighting when using the monitor. Use in a dark room for excessive periods may lead to
eye fatigue.
2. Position the product to minimize reflection or glare from other light sources.
3. Do not use the monitor for excessively long periods without a break and view the monitor from an adequate
distance. It is recommended that the product is viewed slightly from above and with a 10~15min break
every hour to minimize eye or other discomfort.
nn Cleaning the monitor.
Before cleaning the monitor, turn off the monitor and disconnect the power plug from the point.
When cleaning the monitor, do not spray liquid or other cleaning materials directly onto the screen or cabinet
with cleaner.
Use a clean, dry lint free cloth. If it is not enough, then use a cloth with non-alcoholic or non-ammoniac
detergent. Do not use abrasive or other materials which are likely to damage the screen or cabinet. If in
doubt check with your supplier or test on a small, unobtrusive position first.
nn Prevention of an obstacle to TV/Radio receivers
This monitor has been designed to pursuant to the FCC Rules and others to prevent interference to TV/Radio
receivers.
However, this monitor may raise cause interference with TV/Radio receivers if you put this monitor close to
them.
Precautions for the PDP monitor
- Use the attached signal-cable when you connect the monitor with PC equipment. Do not use the other
signal-cables.
- Confirm if the connector is fixed tightly when the signal cable is connected.
- Plug the power cord of the monitor to a different socket from that for other equipment, such as TV,
Radio etc.
- Use 3 pin plug with ground pin and make sure that it connects to the ground.
Precautions for TV & Radio
- Keep the monitor away from TV or Radio.
- Set TV or radio antennas to minimize interference.
- The antenna cable of TV or Radio should be kept away from the monitor.
- Use a coaxial cable for antenna.
You can confirm if this monitor influences TV/Radio receivers when you switch off all other equipment other
than the monitor.
If you can find an obstacle of receiving TV/Radio when using the monitor, check it along with the instruction
mentioned above.
nn Precaution during transportation
Please pay attention when you transport this monitor because it is heavy.
Use the supplied carton box and packaging materials when the monitor is transported.
