WARNING!Follow the instructions to remove the green ground cable and +HV cable from the transfer
guide assembly. If the cables are removed without sliding the connector shield up, the
connector could break.
Step 8 Remove the green ground cable and +HV cable by sliding the connector
release up and then pulling the connector off. Place on the new transfer guide
using the connector release.

Step 9 Remove the ACH cable from the end of the transfer guide and connect to the
new transfer guide.
Step 10Remove the transfer unit and place in the new transfer guide.
Replacement Procedure (mounting)
Step 1 If you haven?t already done so, connect the +HV, ACH, and ground cable to the
transfer guide assembly and place the transfer unit into the transfer guide.
Step 2 While squeezing the black pivot pins, insert the transfer guide assembly into
the guide plates of the printer.
CAUTIONThe black pivot pins must lock in place when transfer guide is inserted. Also, make sure
the connections for the two red high voltage wires and the green ground wire are tight.
Step 3 Insert the two white plastic locking blocks into the rear of the transfer guide.
