Connecting Your TV or Projector
This section explains how to connect the DV-CP802 to

Choose component video,
S-Video, or composite video.
The TV handles the audio and video. If your TV has a
Dolby Pro Logic decoder built-in, youOll be able to enjoy
DVDs and videos that bear the Dolby Surround logo.
To enjoy Dolby Digital or DTS (5.1-channel surround), S VIDEO IN
TV or projector
youOll need a suitable decoder (see page 19).
S-Video
The DV-CP802 has three types of video output: compo-
cable *
nent video, S-Video, and composite video. Component

video offers the best picture quality, so if your TV sup-VIDEO IN
ports it, use a commercially available component video
cable to connect the DV-CP802Os COMPONENT video LIN

output to the component video input on your TV. If your (red)ANALINPUTOG
TV supports progressive scanning, you must use compo-PB

S-Video offers better picture quality than composite

put to an S-Video input on your TV. Failing that, use the (red)
supplied composite video cable to connect the

on your TV.
