HOW TO USE THE COOKTOP
The oven control panel has four knobs for
controlling the temperature of the cooking
plates.
The dual-zone control knobs and are
marked from 0 to 12 and have the symbol
.
The controllers and are marked from 0
to 12.
TO OPERATE
1. To use the cooking plates, turn the corre-
sponding controller to the required level.
(Please carefully read all the instructions for
the cooktop).
Note
The yellow display light on the control stripEMZP 3485
comes on whenever one of the cooking plates
is switched on.
Important:
Before using the cooking plates for the first
time, heat up on the maximum setting for
about 3 minutes (controller set to ).
Never heat a hot plate which is not covered
by a cooking pan.
Use cooking pans with a thick, flat base
specially designed for use on electric coo-
kers.
The diameter of the cooking pan should be
the same as the cooking plate or slightly
larger.
To use the larger cooking plates and :
1. Turn the corresponding dual-zone con-
troller to the position.
2. From the position, turn the correspon-EMEP 3483
ding dual-zone controller to the required
setting (please carefully read all the instruc-
tions for the cooktop).
Caution: If the dual-zone controller is turned
back to the 0 position, the above procedure
has to be repeated before the larger cooking
plate can be used.
