Viewfinder AdjustmentSP-LP recording mode and
T30Y45 tape length select button
POSITION VIEWFINDER
Adjust the viewfinder manually for best viewability
1(see illustration at left).
SELECT MODE
Set the power switch to CAMERA.

ADJUST DIOPTER
Turn the diopter adjustment control until the
3indications in the viewfinder are clearly focused.
Tape Length/Recording Mode Setting
SET TAPE LENGTH
Set the tape length button according to the length of
1the tape used. T30 = 30 minutes of recording time
and T45 = 45 minutes (in SP).
SET RECORDING MODE
Set POWER to OCAMERA�.Set depending on your preference. OSP� (Standard
2Play) provides higher picture and sound quality and
is better for dubbing, while OLP� (Long Play) is
more economical, recording at 1/2 the speed of SP.Tape length and recording

T30 SPT30 SPT30 LPNOTE:
The tape remaining time indicator does not work with
T45 LPT45 SPtapes other than EC30 and EC45. (See Basic Recording
on pg. 12 for Otape remaining time indicator�.)
Loading/Unloading A Cassette
OPEN CASSETTE HOLDER
Slide EJECT until holder opens. Do not use force to
1open.
INSERT/REMOVE CASSETTE
Make sure label is facing outward.

CLOSE CASSETTE HOLDER
Press PUSH and make sure the holder is closed and
3locked.
NOTES:
cA cassette holder can't be opened unless a power
