Manual White Balance Operation
White paper
If the camera is operating in Manual mode O �, perform
Manual White Balance when shooting under various types
of lighting.
SELECT OPERATION MODE
1Follow steps 1 through 5 of the white balance
adjustment (Z pg. 40), and select O MAN.�.
SET MANUAL WHITE BALANCE
2Hold a sheet of plain white paper in front of the
subject. Adjust zoom or position yourself so that the
white paper fills the screen.
ENTER SETTING
3Press MENU/SET until begins blinking.
Lock Button
YWhen the setting is completed, stops blinking.
EXIT MANUAL WHITE BALANCE

Press MENU/SET. The indication OW.BAL.� changes
to OMANUAL� and only the Manual White Balance
indicator is displayed.

.... in step 2, substitute coloured paper for white. The
white balance is adjusted based on the colour,
Displaychanging the tint. Red paper N deeper green; blue
paper N orange; yellow paper N deeper purple.

Balance operation, the setting is retained even if the
