2.5 REPLACING THE HEAD ASSEMBLY
1) Take out the Mechanism assembly.<Tip>
2) Disassemble the Mechanism assembly to the stage fromAs it is not efficient to attach the Film Guide after attaching
which the Head assembly can be replaced easily.the Head assembly, it is recommended to slide in the new
Head assembly in the clearance between the Heat Sink and

2 Remove the Pickup assembly and load spring from the
bottom of the Mechanism assembly.5) After replacing the Head assembly, check the SWD 24V ad-
justment described in �ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENT�.
3) Remove the 3 screws (S2) retaining the Head assembly and
Heat Sink, then take out the Head assembly from the lower
part of the Mechanism assembly.
4) Replace the Head assembly with a new one and attach it
by reversing the above procedure.
