UNBALANCED TRS phone jack (wired for unbalanced operation). Provides a line
OUTPUT level unbalanced output. This jack is unaffected by the Mic Level
Output Conguration switch mentioned above.
OUTPUT TRS phone jack (wired for unbalanced operation). This is the
STAGE INPUT input to the output stage. Inserting a connector into this jack will
interrupt any signal coming from previous (upstream) modules of
the 528E.

this jack trigger or key the compressor / expander from an external
source.
