Playing back a title
Play 1After the disc compartment closes and the DVD is scanned, playback starts
automatically.
Pause II2To switch to playback-pause (freeze-frame), press E!�.
3To resume playback, press E8�.
Stop4To end playback, press E7�.
Note:
Depending on the DVD/video CD you are using, you may have to select a
title or chapter from the DVDOs/video CDOs table of contents.
To select, use theEA� or ES� keys; to activate, use the EOK� key.
If the selections are numbered, use the E1 ... 0� keys.
If the E-� symbol appears on the television screen, then the selected fun-
ction is not possible with this DVD/video CD.
Calling up the function display
DVDPlay Every function you select can be displayed on the screen (playing time, current

1To display the function, press EOSD�.

If a DVD/video CD contains several titles and/or chapters, you can select from
among them.

TITLE/CHAPTER SEARCH2Enter the one or two-digit title number with the E1 ... 0�buttons.

3Select the ECHAPTER� line with ES�.
TITLE/CHAPTER SEARCH4Enter the one or two-digit chapter number with the E1 ... 0�buttons.

If you enter the wrong number, you can delete it by pressing ECLEAR�.
5Confirm your entry with EOK�.

The title menu of the DVD/video CD may contain selection options for titles, sec-
tions or scenes.
1Call up the contents of the DVD/video CD by pressing EMENU�.
� If the DVD/video CD possesses a title menu, it appears on the screen.
