Contains mechanism diagrams, parts lists and schematics for all worldwide versions of DC-X88Z. Also includes remote schematic etc. A few non-essential pages are missing such as specifications. Includes the mechanical and electronic calibration instructions for the tape decks.

3.4 BASIC OPERATION OF SERVICE MENU
3.4.1 TOOL OF SERVICE MENU OPERATION
Operate the SERVICE MENU with the REMOTE CONTROL UNIT.
3.4.2 SERVICE MENU ITEMS
With the SERVICE MENU, various adjustments can be made, and they are broadly classified in the following items of settings.
1. IFThis mode adjusts the IF control circuit.
2. V/CThis mode adjusts the VIDEO / CHROMA circuit.
3. AUDIOThis mode adjusts the multiplicity SOUND control circuit [Do not adjust].
4. DEFThis mode adjusts the DEFLECTION control circuit for each aspect mode.
5. VSM PRESETThis mode adjusts the initial setting values of VIDEO STATUS MEMORY.
6. VPSThis mode shows the monitor of the VPS and PDC [Do not adjust].
7. SHIPPINGThis menu is set at shipping [Do not adjust].
3.4.3 BASIC OPERATION IN SERVICE MENU
(1) HOW TO ENTER SERVICE MENU
Press the [INFORMATION] key and the [MUTING] key of the
REMOTE CONTROL UNIT simultaneously, and the SERVICE
MENU screen on Fig.1 will be displayed.SERVICE MENU

Press one of keys [1]-[7] of the REMOTE CONTROL UNIT and
select the SUB MENU SCREEN as shown in page later, form
the SERVICE MENU.

[V/C, AUDIO, DEF AND VSM PRESET ADJUSTMENT MODE]
(1) Press the [2]-[5] keys to select the one of setting item.
(2) Press the [FUNCTION (UP / DOWN)] key to select the adjustment item.
(3) Press the [FUNCTION (LEFT / RIGHT)] keys to change the setting value.
(4) Press the [OK] key to memorize the adjustment value.
It can adjust the other items in the same procedure.
When adjust the WHITE BALANCE of V/C, key operations differ from above reference.
3.4.5 RELEASE OF SERVICE MENU
When adjustment is completed, press the [INFORMATION] key twice. Then return to the normal screen.
