4. Emergency Eject
If you can not take out the cassette even though you press<Caution>
EJECT button, you can take out the cassette by pushing and?Do not turn the EMERGENCY screw except in emergency.
turning EMERGENCY screw with a screwdriver or the like.Do not turn the EMERGENCY screw clockwise. Also, do
not turn the screw farther after the cassette has been ejected.
1. Turn OFF the power.Otherwise, the mechanism may be broken down.
2. Remove the rubber cap and insert a Phillips screwdriver?After the cassette has been ejected, the cassette holder can
to the cross-shaped recess of the EMERGENCY screwnot be locked even if it is pushed to close. Turn on the power
(red) as shown in the figure below:to reset the action of the mechanism, and then close the
cassette holder.
?Click sounds occur during the time when the EMERGENCY
screw is turned. These sounds occur while the reel is driven
and they are not abnormal.
3. While pushing the EMERGENCY screw with the
screwdriver, turn the screw counterclockwise until the
cassette is ejected.
?The screw must be turned about 20 turns before the
tape unloading begins.
?The screw must be turned about 90 turns from the beginning
of the tape unloading to the cassette eject.
4. Take out the cassette.
5. Attach the rubber cap again.
