6.7 How to use EDC (Engine Diagnostic Control) Mode
6.6.1 EDC Establishment
EDC Mode is feature that allows the engineer to check the condition of the print engine. It can check the operating condi-
tion of the motors, sensors, solenoids and clutches, measure the High Voltage from the HVPS and check the operation of
the fuser and LSU.
6.6.1.1 How to enter the EDC Mode
1. In the driver for CLP-600 and CLP-600N on printers firmware V1.29 and above.
- After installing driver, go to folder as following direction;
C:\Program Files\Samsung\Samsung CLP-600 Series\SPanel\RCP
-Then you will find "EDC.exe"
- notice) If the driver is old, there maybe no folder as above. In that case, please install new driver
after downloading from Web site.
2. In the LCD panel for CLP-600N on printers firmware V1.29 and above.
- Power on the printer
--> LCD display will show "Loading..." message
--> After a few seconds(more that 5 sec) go away, all LEDs will show a red once.
--> From this point, click 'MENU' button more than 8 times continuously.
- When being in EDC mode, the LCD displays as below.
" Leady, 200x.xx.xx(year-month-day)"
--> If you fail to enter EDC mode, please power off/on and try this step again.

6.6.1.2 LCD Function and Directions
Upper Line : Upper Line messages mainly show the current test menu or sub-menu.
[Main Menu] or [Function] is displayed.
Lower Line : Lower Line messages mainly the current test and status.
