Verifying the connection
After you connect the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) to the copier, print the Test Page to
verify that the connection between the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) and the copier is
good.
Printing the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) Test Page
Before connecting the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) to the network, print the Test Page
to verify that the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) is connected properly to the copier. The
Test Page is a color Ţle that resides on the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) hard disk drive.
TO PRINT A TEST PAGE FROM THE CONTROL PANEL
1. Power on the copier and allow it to warm up.
2. Power on the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) from the power switch on the back panel.
Messages appear on the Control Panel as the Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) runs through
its startup diagnostics.
3. Before proceeding, make sure that the copier is not in use. The
Print Controller X4(AR-PE1) Info screen should read Idle.
4. At the Idle screen, press the menu button once (see OUsing the Control Panel� on
page 3-8). The Functions menu is shown below:
Print PagesUse the up and down buttons to
Suspend Printingscroll through these options. Use
Resume Printingthe line selection buttons to the
Shut Downright to select Print Pages.
