Talk about a lifesaver!!!!!!!!!!!! This schematic will also work for the Radio Shack DX-392. This is the full blown service manual complete with alignment instructions, schematics, and parts lists.

Essential for popping the top open and cleaning and replacing what needs repalced. One note: the Ornamental Panel is attached with some adhesive as well as screws and faders so don't be shy about prying it open.

6. Removing the fan7. Removing the thermal fuse ass'y
(1) Loosen the nut and remove the fan.(1) Take out the fan washer T2 from the motor shaft.
Screw-lock is applied to the fan.MOTOR SHAFT
CAUTIONHOLEFAN WASHER T2
When reinstalling the fan after removing it,TEMPERATURE
install it after cleaning the screw-lock appliedFUSE ASS'Y
to the fan, the washer, the motor shaft, etc.
Apply the screw-lock to the motor shaft and
tighten the nut.
When tightening the fan with the nut, evenly
press the center area of the fan and tighten it.
The tightening torque of the nut is 120-160[N.cm].

LEAD WIRE COVERMOTOR
(2) Remove the fixing screws (3 pcs.) of the motor
angle and take it out.
(3) Pull out the lead wire cover upward and pull out
the thermal fuse connector (CN-B) from the power
supply PWB.
8. Removing the motor
(1) Pull out the motor connector (CN-C) from the
power supply PWB and take out the motor.
9. Removing the high-voltage unit
Observe the following cautions when replacing the high-voltage unit .
Never touch the discharging part (the surface of ceramic panel) with bare hands.
No dust or oil of your hands for the high-voltage unit. (They may affect the emission of the ion.)
Always hold the case (resin) with clean gloves during replacement.
If you touch the surface or dirt on the surface, clean up with alcohol.
Never forget to unplug the unit before working on it.
Because of turning on the electricity to the electrode, the electrick shock will occur even if the unit is off.
Confirm carefully the connection of the high-voltage harness (the connector 1) and the relay PWB harness
(the connector 2).
(1) Remove the screw (1 pc.) of the cluster guide and take out it from the casing.
(2) Insert a thin plate (ex. metal ruler) between the cluster guide and the high-voltage unit from the connector side.
Push out the high-voltage unit along a thin plate and pull out the connectors 1 and 2.
CAUTION
Do not damage the high-voltage a thin plate harness or the relay PWB harness when inserting a thin plate.
Insert a thin plate from the connector side.

boss with your hand in order not to
deform it.
