CYCLE REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
1. NITROGEN REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
1) Remove the compressor and dryer.
2) Install the new compressor on the base frame.
3) Connect all the pipes excepting the connection of dryer and capillary tube.
4
4) Connect the nitrogen gas tank to the charging pipe of compressor, apply pressure of about 80 x 10 Pa (approx.
2
8 kg/cmf) for 3 to 5 seconds to blow out the air in the pipes (nitrogen replacement). See Figure 1.
At this time ascertain that the gas is discharged from the dryer and capillary tube.
5) Braze the connections except the connection of dryer and capillary tube.
6) Connect and braze the dryer and capillary tube.
4
7) Connect the nitrogen gas tank to the charging pipe of compressor, apply pressure of about 100 x 10 Pa (approx.
2
10kg/cmf), and check for leak, using soapy water.
If leakage is found, thoroughly wipe off the soapy water from the leaking part, and reduce the nitrogen pressure so
asto prevent entry of moisture into the pipe.
Caution:
If all the pipes cannot be connected at the same time, blow separately the high pressure side and low pressure side
with nitrogen. See Figure 2 and Figure 3.
Note: The shape and pipe outlet port differ
depending on types of compressor.
