Recording TV programmes using DIAL-Recording TV Programmes Using the Timer
TIMERThis function allows you to preset your Video TV to record up to 5 programmes
within a one-month period.
The Dial-Timer recording function allows you to preset your Video TV to record
one programme within a 24 hour period. for setting the Dial-Timer, use DIAL Before you begin:
TIMER button on the Video TV.Y Make sure that the clock is set correctly. if it is not, please refer to the section OSetting
the Clock Manually�(see page 7).
Before you begin:Y Make sure that the loaded cassette has its safety tab intact.

Y Make sure that the loaded cassette has its safety tab intact.1In standby mode, press the standby button to turn on the Video TV.
Y Make sure that the Video TV does not enter the timer recording standby mode (the
TIMER REC indicator on the Video TV should not be lit).
2Press the TIMER REC button to display the Programme List menu.

3Pressorrepeatedly to set the date (for daily and weekly recording, refer to the

Changing or Cancelling the Dial Timer settings5Press OK.

The Dial Timer menu appears on the screen.6If you want to set more programmes, pressorto move the cursor to ADD and
PressTurnthen press OK. Repeat steps from 3 to 5.

To Stop Timer Recording
Press the ON/OFF button on the remote control. Then the TIMER REC indicator on the
Video TV turns off.
Using the Video TV before Timer Recording starts
You can watch a TV programme, check the timer settings and reset the counter in
timer recording standby mode. However, if you want to eject the cassette, use the
tape operation buttons, change or cancel the timer settings, you have to press the
ON/OFF button on the remote control to turn off the TIMER REC indicator on the
Video TV set.
Remember to press again the ON/OFF button to make the TIMER REC indicator
lights up again and the set comes back into the timer recording standby mode.
