Lost lock
Description
. The servo was locked once during REC or FWD mode but became unlocked.

While playing discontinuous recording tape, this message will be displayed at the not-recording point.
This is not defective.
This message is displayed until REC or PB ends, STOP or STANDBY mode is invoked, and then the tape
is run again.
Possible Causes
. The not-recording point or discontinuous CTL point on the tape was played back.
(Not defective condition)
. An abnormal tape was used. (Not defective condition)
. The CTL head is dirty.
. The erase head is defective.
. The CTL REC/PB head is defective, or its height is misaligned.
. The CTL confidence head is defective, or its height is misaligned.
. The AE-30 board is defective.
. The SSP-20 board is defective.
. The MDR-10 board is defective.
. An acceleration or intense noise exerted on the unit.
. The capstan FG is misaligned.
. The capstan motor is defective.
. The capstan motor is misaligned.
. The surface on the capstan shaft is abnormal.
. The guides on the tape path are abnormal.
. The pinch roller press system is abnormal.
. The pinch roller is defective.
. The drum motor is defective.
. The abrupt variations in the signal from external equipment.
