Notes
. When replacing the hand assembly, the carrier assembly need not be removed
from the transfer assembly. But to avoid dropping screws and small parts inside
the console, it is recommended that the carrier assembly should be removed from
the transfer assembly before replacement.
Preparation before Starting Work
1. Set the ROBOT POWER switch on the basic console and junction console to
the OO� (OFF) position.

Turn off the power of the UPS for systems not incorporating the UPS.
(Refer to the manual supplied with the UPS.)
2. Confirm the stop position of the transfer assembly. Open the doors of the
console in which the transfer assembly is stopped.
(Refer to Section 1-4.)
3. Open the bin door of the console in which the transfer assembly is stopped.
(Refer to Section 1-4.)
4. Move the transfer assembly where it is easy to carry out the replacement work.

Hold the frame when moving the transfer assembly. Do not apply force to the
drive mechanism block or to the fragile parts, such as hand assembly, belt, etc.
