Entering Characters by Tapping the KeypadAdding a New Internal Phone Book Entry
To enter characters by tapping the keypad, select the Abcmode (seeYour PCS Phone can store up to 99 Internal Phone Book entries. Phone
?Selecting a Character Input Mode? on page 62). Press the correspondingbook entries can store up to a total of five phone numbers and the entry?s
key until the desired character appears. By default, the first letter of a wordname can contain sixteen characters.

To add a new entry:

Entering Symbols, Numbersand Emoticons
To enter symbols, select the Symbolsmode. (See ?Selecting a Character
Input Mode? on page 62.) To enter a symbol, press the appropriate key
indicated on the display.
To enter numbers, select the 123mode and press the appropriate key.
