Installing CD-ROM software using a system software disc
If you are installing CD-ROM software from the system software disc that
came with your computer, you can choose to install either the CD-ROM
software, the QuickTime software, or both. You cannot choose to install
individual CD-ROM software files. Follow these steps:
1Shut down your Macintosh.
2Insert the system software CD-ROM disc and start up the Macintosh, while holding down
the x-Option-Shift-Delete keys on your keyboard.
By holding down these keys, you force the computer to bypass the internal
hard disk and to start up from the CD-ROM disc. In a few moments, the disc
icon appears on your screen.
3Double-click the disc icon to open it.
4Locate the Installer icon on the disc.
5Double-click the Installer icon to open it.
The Easy Install dialog box appears.
