Route guidance
Using the traffic congestion function
You can alter your route quickly on the basis of the traffic situation (e.g. road works,
Road closed). The TravelPilot DX-N will then calculate a new route to bypass the
traffic congestion. In order to do this, you must know the distance of the beginning and
the end of the traffic congestion from your current position.
You can also exclude entire roads from the route list.
Activating the traffic congestion function
1.To activate the traffic congestion function, press ! on the remote control
while route guidance is in progress.
The OCongestion� menu will appear. 4
2.Mark . Press OK .

3.Select OCongestion ahead�. Press OK .
A menu in which you can enter the beginning and the end of the traffic con-
gestion will appear. 4
4.Mark the distance at which the traffic congestion is due to begin, i.e. the dis-
tance from your current vehicle position.
Press on the remote control to set the arrow to the distance at which
the traffic congestion will begin. The distances available for selection will de-
pend on the course of the navigation route.
5.Mark the second distance. This value indicates how far the end of traffic con-
gestion is away from your current vehicle position.
Press to select the distance to the end of the traffic congestion.
6.Mark OStart�. Press OK .
Route guidance will appear, you will hear the following voice output: OThe
route is being calculated.� 4 |
