4. Lamp: Installation and replacement
SuperCyc 2.4utilises 2 Philips 1200 MSR or MSD 1200 lamps rated at 1200W with GX 9,5 bases.

Attention
Disconnect mains prior to opening up the unit
The fixtureOs internal temperature can reach 250! C after 5 minutes with a maximum peak of 350! C; ensure that the lamps
are cold prior to attempting removal. The fixture should be allowed to stand and cool for 10 minutes prior to its removal.
MSR and MSD are part of the mercury vapour family of discharge lamps and must be handled with great care. The lamps
operate at high pressure, and the slight risk of explosion exists if operated over their recommended lamp life.
We recommend, therefore, that the lamp be replaced within the manufacturerOs specified lamp life.
installing the lamps
1) Using an appropriate screwdriver, remove the 6 screws which hold the rear cover of the projector body housing in place.
2) Open the rear housing using the handle provided.
3) Locate the two lamp assemblies, left and right, and with an appro-
priate screwdriver, remove the 3 screws which affix the lamp
assembly in place.
