Format A Disc
1Press SET UP to access the Main Menu screen.
2Press selection keys to select ADVD SET UPB, then press
ENTER.
Some DVD-RAM/RW discs are unformatted.3Press selection keys to DVD SET UPFUNCTION SET UP INITIAL SET UP
Format the disc when you use an unformatted disc or you want to select AUTILITYB, then LANGUAGE SETAUDIO OUTPUTUTILITY

select AFORMATB, then CANCEL DISC FINALISATION

screen. Press ENTER to complete formatting.
8Press SET UP to return to the normal screen.
Format A DVD-RW Disc
1Perform steps1-3 of AFormat A DVD-RAM DiscB as above
before continuing.
2Press selection keys to select AFORMATB, then press ENTER.
Press selection keys to choose AVR MODEB or AVIDEO
MODEB, then press ENTER when ADISC WILL BE
FORMATTEDB appears on the TV screen.
Selection Keys
(FGDE)AVR MODEB:
ENTERTo be chosen when you want to record, erase, or edit data on
the disc repeatedly.
AVIDEO MODEB:
To be chosen when you want to erase all the data on the disc
once played back to record new data, or play back the disc on
other DVD players.
SET UP
3Press selection keys to select AYESB, then press ENTER.
4Upon completing formatting, ACOMPLETEDB appears on the TV
screen. Press ENTER to complete formatting.
5Press SET UP to return to the normal screen.
NOTES:
IIt is impossible to format Version1.0 DVD-RW discs in Video
mode.
IIt is impossible to format DVD-R discs.
IAll the titles on a disc will be deleted once the disc is formatted
even if they are protected titles. |
