Picture Stabilizer
This feature compensates for unstable images caused by
camera-shake, particularly noticeable at high magnifica-
tion.
ACTIVATE PICTURE STABILIZER
Press P.STABILIZER. O� appears in the viewfinder.

YTo switch off the Picture Stabilizer, press
P.STABILIZER. The indicator disappears.
NOTES:
cAccurate stabilization may not be possible if hand
shake is excessive, or under the following conditions:
YWhen shooting subjects with vertical or horizontal
stripes
YWhen shooting dark or dim subjects
YWhen shooting subjects with excessive backlighting
YWhen shooting scenes with movement in various
directions
YWhen shooting scenes with low-contrast
backgrounds
P. STABILIZER
cSwitch off Picture Stabilizer when recording with the
camcorder on a tripod.
Exposure Control
This feature automatically adjusts the iris for the best
available picture quality, but you can override and make
the adjustment manually.
SELECT MODE
Turn the PROGRAM AE select dial to any position
1except AUTO LOCK.

When you want to return to the factory setting . . .
To brighten the image
RESTORE INITIAL SETTING
Press + and � simultaneously. The standard setting is
3immediately restored and the Exposure level
�06+06indicator disappears.
