Contains mechanism diagrams, parts lists and schematics for all worldwide versions of DC-X88Z. Also includes remote schematic etc. A few non-essential pages are missing such as specifications. Includes the mechanical and electronic calibration instructions for the tape decks.

Essential for popping the top open and cleaning and replacing what needs repalced. One note: the Ornamental Panel is attached with some adhesive as well as screws and faders so don't be shy about prying it open.

Playback Special Effects
These effects allow you to be creative with the playback
picture. You can use any one of the 4 effects.
START PLAYBACK
1Press PLAY (4).
ACCESS PLAYBACK EFFECT SELECT
2MENU
Point the remote control at the camcorderOs remote
sensor and press EFFECT. The PLAYBACK EFFECT
PLAY (4) ButtonSelect Menu appears.
PLAYBACK EFFECTSELECT PLAYBACK EFFECT
3Move the highlight bar to the desired effect by
4OFF
1CLASSIC FILMpressing EFFECT. The selected function is activated
2B/WMONOTONE
3SEPIAand after 2 seconds the menu disappears.
4STROBE
5VIDEO ECHO
NOTES:
Power SwitchcTo deactivate the selected effect, press EFFECT ON/OFF
PLAYBACK EFFECTon the remote control. Pressing it again re-activates the
Select Menuselected effect.
cRepeat from step 2 when you want to change the
selected effect.
cWhen OMONOTONEÃ� or OSEPIAÃ� is activated, the
Remote sensorOMULTI 4Ã� and OMULTI 9Ã� Snapshot modes (Z pg. 23)
are not available.
The effects that can be used during playback are Classic
Film, Monotone, Sepia and Strobe. The effects work the
same in playback as they did in recording. Refer to page
31 for more information.
