LOAD A CASSETTE
1Slide OPEN/EJECT in the direction of the arrow, then
swing the cassette cover open until it locks. The
holder opens automatically.
Insert a tape and press OPUSH HERE� to close the
cassette holder.
SELECT OPERATION MODE
2Set the Power Switch to O� while pressing
OPEN/EJECTdown the Lock Button. The power lamp lights.

cIf Stop mode continues for 5 minutes when the power
Stop (5) Buttonsupply is a battery pack, the camcorder shuts off
automatically. To turn on again, set the Power Switch to
OOFF�, then to O�.
cThe playback picture can also be viewed in the
viewfinder (with the viewfinder pulled out) or on a
connected TV (Z pg. 70, 71). Camcorder operation is
the same as described in this section.
cYou can also view the playback picture on the LCD
monitor with it flipped over and retracted.
cLCD monitor/viewfinder indications:
YWhen power is supplied from the battery pack: the
