Connect Peripheral Equipment
EXTERNAL 1/3
There is a wide range of audio and video equipment that can be connected
to your TV.Three special adaptors (scart to cinch) are provided with your TV.
VIDEO
EXTERNAL 1Connect the adaptor marked EXTERNAL 1 to the scart EXTERNAL 1 or 3.
AUDIO R
AUDIO LConnect the adaptor (with the IN/OUT switch) marked EXTERNAL 2 to the
scart EXTERNAL 2.

Note:EXTERNAL 2only has S-VIDEO input (no output).

Video recorder
&Connect the antenna cable 1to the antenna socket xof your video
recorder.
éConnect another cable 2from the output jof your video recorder to the
CABLEinput x of your TV.
Better recording quality can be obtained if you also connect the Video,
Audio Land R(only for stereo equipment) cables 3to the VIDEO,AUDIOL
and R inputs of the adaptor EXTERNAL2.

1To record a programme from your TV,put the adaptor switch in the OUT
position.

To reproduce a programme from your video recorder on your TV, put the

adaptor switch in the IN position.
TVIf you are using only mono equipment, connect only the VIDEO and the
AUDIO Lsockets.
S-VIDEOquality reproduction with a S-VHS video recorder is obtained by
VCR 1connecting the S-VIDEO cable with the S-VIDEO input (See instruction of your
video recorder.).
CABLEVideo recorder and other A/V peripherals(except Digital Sources)
Connect the aerial cables 1, 2 and 3 as shown opposite. Better picture
EXTERNAL 1quality can be obtained if you also connect the Video,Audio L and R (only
EXTERNAL 2for stereo equipment) cables 5, to the VIDEO,AUDIOL and R inputs of the

adaptor EXTERNAL2 and the Video,Audio L and R cables 4 to the VIDEO,
53AUDIO Land Rinputs of the adaptor EXTERNAL1.
