DTMFDual Tone Multi Frequency. The tones are transmitted by the phone to the
network. Used to interrogate answering machines, transmit codes, etc.
EFREnhanced Full Rate. Standard for high quality sound. Your phone will switch
on EFR if the GSM network supports this function and asks for it.
FDNFixed Dialling Numbers. See also Public Names.
GSMGlobal System for Mobile communications. Type of network used by your
phone.
GSM 900GSM standard using 900 MHz frequency band (see ?Other operator
services? page 53).
GSM 1800GSM standard using 1800 MHz frequency band (see ?Other operator
services? page 53). Also called DCS 1800 (Digital Cellular System) or PCN
1800 (Personal Communication Network).
Home The network to which you subscribe to.

Home Zone A particular area within your home network. If this feature is provided by
your home network, the home zone symbol is displayed indicated that you
are currently within the home zone.
Idle screenThis is the screen displayed after registering to your network, in idle mode.
Local The network where you are making a call. This may be your home network
networkor another GSM network.
Multi-callTwo calls are in progress, one active and one on hold.
PIN codePersonal Identification Number. The secret code of the SIM card.
PIN2 codeSecret code that allows you to access certain SIM card dependent features.
Public Function that allows you to restrict dialling to selected numbers.

PUK codeSecret code used to unblock your SIM card if a wrong PIN code is entered

PUK2 codeSecret code used to unblock your SIM card if a wrong PIN2 code is entered
