Trouble Shooting
In case of trouble with the unit, please take the trouble to look through this chart and see if you can solve the problem
yourself before you call your dealer or TEAC service center.
GeneralTuner
No powerCannot listen to any station, or signal is too weak.
eCheck the connection to the AC power supply.eTune in the station properly.
eIf a TV is near the unit, put it off.
No sound from speakers.eRe-orient the antenna until reception improves.
eCheck the connection to the speakers.eAn external antenna is recommended.
eAdjust the volume.
eSelect proper source.Though the broadcast is stereo, it sounds monaural.
ePull out the headphonesO plug from PHONES jack.ePress the STEREO/MONO button.
eIf muting is on, press the MUTING button.
The sound is noisy.CD Player
eThe unit is too close to a TV set or similarCannot play.

Remote Control Unit
ePress the REPEAT button to cancel the repeat

eUse remote control unit within the range (5m/15ft)ePlace the unit on a stable place to avoid vibration

eClear obstacles between the remote control uniteIf the disc is dirty, clean the surface of the disc.

eIf a fluorescent light is near the unit, put it off.
Cassette Tape Deck
The cassette holder cannot be closed. TAPE buttons
donOt work.
eInsert a cassette tape securely.
No sound. Sound is distorted or noisy.
eIf a blank tape is in TAPE ! , change it to
prerecorded tape.
eClean and demagnetize the heads.
Cannot record.
eIf the safety tabs of the cassette tape have been
broken off, cover the holes with adhesive tape.
eClean and demagnetize the heads.
eUse normal(Type!) or CrO2(Type@) tape.
