You can set the TV/VCR/DVD to receive or record TV
programs in Stereo, Second Audio or Monaural Sound. Also,STANDBY-ONOPEN/CLOSE
you can set the TV/VCR/DVD to play videotapes in either
High Fidelity (HIFI) or Monaural (MONO or single-channel)

When a TV program is broadcast in stereo, STEREO
DISCSET-UP
appears in the top right corner of the screen. When aMENU
TV program is broadcast in second audio, SAP appears
in the top right corner of the screen. When a TV
PICTURE

program is broadcast both in stereo and second audio,
STEREO and SAP both appear.SELECT
Although a program may be broadcast in both stereoMUTE1
MODEDISPLAY
and second audio, you cannot record in both stereo
and second audio at the same time.
You must set the TV/VCR/DVD to record in either
STEREO or SAP. Do this by changing the TV AUDIO
Setting as described on page 50.
During tape playback, HIFI will appear in the top left
corner of the screen if VCR AUDIO is set to HIFI.
Details are on page 51.If you play non-HIFI tapes while
VCR AUDIO is set to HIFI, HIFI will disappear from
the screen. The videotape will play in monaural sound. |
