Protecting the Pictures on a Memory Card from
Accidental Erasure (File Lock)
Precious pictures recorded on a Memory Card can be locked to prevent
accidental erasure. (Even if pictures are locked, the pictures will be deleted
when the Memory Card is formatted.)
After setting to the Card Playback Mode (l 35).....
1Set [CARD FUNCTIONS] >> [CARD EDITING] >> [FILE LOCK]
>> [YES].
2Rotate the [PUSH] Dial to select [PICTURE] or [TITLE], and
PUSHMENU
VOL/JOG1then press it.
1, 2, 3
eThe [FILE LOCK] Menu 1 is displayed.
3Rotate the [PUSH] Dial to select the picture to be locked, and
then press it.
1FILE LOCK
eThe [] Indication 2 is attached to the selected picture.
ePress the [PUSH] Dial again to cancel.

Deleting the pictures recorded on a Memory
Card
3Using the Camera/Recorder, you can delete the still pictures and titles
PHOTO
SHOTrecorded on a Memory Card. After the picture has been deleted, it cannot
be restored.
After setting to the Card Playback Mode (l 35).....
To Select and Delete Picture(s) by selection
1Set [CARD FUNCTIONS] >> [DELETE PICTURE/TITLE] >>
MENU[DELETE PICTURE BY SELECTION] or [DELETE TITLE BY
PUSH
VOL/JOGSELECTION].

2Rotate the [PUSH] Dial to select the picture that you want to

eThe selected picture flashes.
eTo delete more than 1 picture, repeat this step.
3Press the [PHOTO SHOT] Button.
eA verification message appears.
4Rotate the [PUSH] Dial to select [YES] and then press it.
eThe selected picture is deleted from the Memory Card.
To Delete all Pictures
1Set [CARD FUNCTIONS] >> [DELETE PICTURE/TITLE] >>
[DELETE ALL PICTURES].
eA verification message appears.
2Rotate the [PUSH] Dial to select [YES] and then press it.
eAll the pictures stored in the Memory Card are deleted.
eA locked picture cannot be deleted.
eThe same setting can be performed using the short-cut menu (l 18).
