PDF contains : - schematics, but a little un-sharp. - disassembly instructions, accurate drawings - description of test-modes

I downloaded this product and looked through it quickly with Adobe Reader v9. It is clean and a good copy. Some scanned pages are not perfectly square, but that is a minor complaint. The document schematics and board diagrams are easy to read, of good contrast. The whole file downloaded quickly. This is a good service! Sony charges about $100 for the printed version of the same manual. It is still available through their print-on-demand pro parts system, but why would you do that?

SERVICE MODE
[Liquid Crystal Display All Lit Check Mode][CD Aging Mode]
This mode can be used for operation check of CD section.
Procedure:
1. Set to standby state.Procedure:
2. Press three buttons ofp (TAPE),p (CD), and [MD/VIDEO]1. Load a CD disc.

[Tape Deck Aging Mode]power OFF.
This mode can be used for operation check of tape deck section.
Aging mode sequence:
Procedure:
1. Set a tape in the tape deck.Start
2. Set to standby state.
3. Press three buttons ofp (TAPE),p (CD), and [TAPE] si-
multaneously.
4. The aging is executed in bellow sequence.Open the disc tray
5. To exit from the aging mode1/u, press thebutton to turn the
power OFF.
Aging mode sequence:Close the disc tray
Start
Play the last track
Shut off
FWD Play
1 minute
REC pause for 3 seconds
Shut off
FWD REC
3 minutes
Fast forward
Shut off
REV Play
1 minute
REC pause for 3 seconds
Shut off
REV REC
3 minutes
Rewind
