lo remove Ice:
l Lift front slightly. l Hold tray at both ends
. Lrft back off supports . Slrghllv twist
l Replace in reverse order.

l Slrde the rest of the way out

If you have the automatic ice maker accessory or
plan to add one later [Part No. ECKMF-6). there are
Snap Back into Place. a few things you will want to know.
l The ON/OFF lever IS a wire signal arm.
Down...for making ice automatically,
Up...toshut off the ice maker.
l Shake the bin occasionally to keep cubes sepa-
rated, and to obtain increased storage capacity.
l It is normal for ice crescents to be attached by a
corner. They will break apart easily.
l Covers are held In place by two pegs at the back l You will hear water runnrng when ice maker IS
and two notched tabs In front working. You?ll hear ice fall into the brn. Don?t let
- Press front tabs out of the wcy these sounds bother you.
-Lift cover front l The ice maker will not operate until the freezer IS
- Lift back off the pegs cold enough to make ice. This can take overnight.
- Replace in reverse order l Because of new plumbing connections, the first
ice may be discolored or off-flavor&. Drscard the
first few batches of ice.

l If ice is not berng made fast enough and more ice
Before removing a light shield for cleaning or for is needed, turn the Temperature control to a hrgher
replacing a bulb. unplug the retrlgerator. Use op- number Wart a day and, If necessary, turn the Air
phmce bulbs only Control to a higher number.
l If you remove the ice bin, raise the signal arm to
shut off the ice maker. When you return the bin,
push it all the way in and lower the arm to the ON
position.
l If cubes are stored too long, they may develop an
off-flavor...like stale water. Throw them away. They
will be replaced. Cubes In the ice bin can also

- Pull control knob strarght off
- Pull bottom of control panel straight out.
-Lift top of panel off supports
- Replace with a 40.watt appliance bulb.
- Replace panel In reverse order.
