7.5 LIGHT INTENSITY ADJUSTMENT
When:Every call
Purpose:To maintain the correct light intensity.
Target:Second level of the standard test chart is slightly
visible or there is no background on the copy when
the second ID level is selected.
Measure:SP 48
How:Changes the lamp regulator output voltage.
1. Clean the optics, ID sensor, and charge corona wires.
2. Check/adjust exposure and horizontal magnification.
3. Select the fourth manual ID level and make more than ten A3/LDG copies
then check the light intensity.
4. Adjust the light intensity using SP 48.
NOTE: Voltage range: 50 - 80 volts
Smallest increment: 0.5 V
Perform VL reference setting (SP67), after light intensity adjustment.
7.6 VL REFERENCE VOLTAGE SETTING
When:Every call, after light intensity adjustment (SP48) or VSG
(SP54), after replacing one of the following parts:
Main PCB, AC drive PCB.
Purpose:To maintain correct image density control
Measure:SP 67
How:The main CPU automatically stores the reference voltage
displayed in the guidance display ("VOD" and "VSL") during
SP67 operation.
1. Clean the optics, then place three sheets of A3/LDG white paper on the
exposure glass.
2. Set SP67 and press the Enter key.
3. The VL reference voltage is automatically adjusted in about 30 seconds.
