Essential for popping the top open and cleaning and replacing what needs repalced. One note: the Ornamental Panel is attached with some adhesive as well as screws and faders so don't be shy about prying it open.

TROUBLESHOOTING

SYMPTOMPOSSIBLE CAUSE(S)
POWER
No power is supplied.c The battery pack has not been attached correctly
(Z pg. 6).
c The battery pack is not charged (Z pg. 6).
c The power supply has not been correctly connected
(Z pg. 7).
The power suddenly goes off andc The battery pack has completely discharged.
doesnOt come back on by itself.c Remove the cassette and disconnect the power source,
then after a few minutes, try turning the power back on. If
it still doesnOt come on, consult your nearest JVC dealer.
RECORDING
Recording cannot be performed.c The recording tapeOs Erase Protection tab is missing.
Cover the hole with adhesive tape. (Some tapes have
sliding tabs. In this case, check the position of the tab.)
Recording does not start.c The camcorder Power switch has not been set to
OCAMERAÃ� (Z pg. 14).
PLAYBACK
The tape is running, but thereOs noc The TV has not been set to its VIDEO mode.
