Multi TV Scan function
With this function the video recorder shows successive stills of TV channels it is
receiving in eight picture frames. The stills are updated automatically.
Activating the Multi TV Scan function
1Switch on the television and select the channel position EAV� on the tele-

3Call up the EDIGITAL EFFECTS� menu by pressing EDigital FX�.
� The EDIGITAL EFFECTS� menu appears.

4Select the EMULTI TVSCAN� line using E+� or E�� and then press EOK�
to confirm.
� The first eight TV channels appear in succession as stills in the right half of
the screen. The stills are continuously updated.
Note:
If you select this function during playback, the left half of the screen will show
the image from the tape. If the video recorder is not in playback mode, the
left side of the screen is blue.
5Press E+� to see the next eight channels. To return to the previous eight
channels, press E��.
6Press E0...8� to see one of the inset pictures at full size.
Exiting the Multi TV Scan function
1Exit the Multi TVScan function by pressing EClear�.

Picture in Picture function
With this function you can watch two channels on the screen at the same time.
� The video playback image and a TV channel from the video recorder;
� The video playback image and an image from an external signal source such
as a connected camcorder.
Activating the Picture in Picture function
1Switch on the television and select the channel position EAV� on the
television for video recorder playback.
2Press E� to switch on the video recorder, insert the cassette and press
DIGITAL EFFECTSE� to start playback.

MULTI STROBE3Press E+� or E��to select the required TV channel on the video recorder, or
MULTI TV SCAN
PICTURE IN PICTURE (PIP)select the programme number EAV2� or ECV� by pressing E+� or E��.
4Call up the EDIGITAL EFFECTS� menu with the EDigital FX� button.
:SELECT� The EDIGITAL EFFECTS� menu appears.
OK :ENTERINFO:EXIT
5Select the EPICTURE IN PICTURE (PIP)� line using E+� or E�� and then
press EOK� to confirm.
� A small image of the selected TV channel will appear inset on the screen,
while the video recorder playback image appears in full size.
Note:
Press E+� or E�� to move the inset image.
Press E?� or E � to swap the two images.
Use the E0...9� buttons to select a different TV channel for the inset image.
Exiting the Picture in Picture function
1Exit the function by pressing EClear�.
