The higher of the two readings is the correct one.
Why not measure behind the ear lobe
all the time?
This method should only be used as a verification
measurement in case of sweating. Just before
someone starts sweating, the blood vessels
behind the ear lobe dilate (i.e. expand in
diameter).This allows the blood from the heart to
flow through them faster - fast enough to provide
a correct measurement result. Under normal
circumstances, the flow rate of the blood in the
blood vessels behind the ear lobe is too low and
too variable to allow correct temperature
measurement.
Cleaning
C1Clean the appliance and the sensor with a
moist, soft cotton cloth or a cotton tip
moistened with some alcohol. Point the
sensor downwards while cleaning it.
Allow the sensor to dry before you start
measuring.
Be careful not to damage the sensor.
Do not use any cleaning agents or paper cloths. |
